going off summat that sweets said the other day in a thread that the size of monster munch and nik naks have shrunk..........

well gotta say, smiths chipsticks remain the daddy of oldskool crisp!!

none of this foil bag malarky, the design is still the same since 19 nought plonk, they aint shrunk 1 bit, and they come in proper oldskool flavours of ready salted and salt n vinegar

Coz I am psuedo posh & shop at Waitrose I had to try Jonathan Crisps at the w/e - & extremely nice they were too

Horseradish & Sour Cream

The best bit is the cartoon on the front of the pack they felt most appropriate for horseradish

asda were doing frogs legs flavour crisps a while back, wtf?! Most people probably havent tried frogs legs anyway to know if they even taste right .
Theres some right elaborate crisps around these days (types as sat here munching on "Tesco's finest ~ Party! ~ Honey Glazed Gammon & Wholegrain mustard flavour handcooked crisps" ) ... and breathe! - Takes so long to read the feckin flavour youre half starved by the time you get to open the bag

I like 10p crisps, dead nice and you can get away more with eating several bag in one sitting

I want to give honorary crisp award mentions to :

good old walkers plain or cheese n onion

Pringles can quite frankly, do one. and the conclusion was drawn on a mash-up ages ago that the pringles man is a paedophile. He looks shady as fook.

Re the pringles man. I was a bit worse for wear once, quite a while ago in about 92 and one of my mates was playing with the pringles tube spinning it round and round and I swear to god his face was changing on each side (not that you can get sides on a tube, but you know what I mean ) and I thought he was winking at me, then laughing at me, then frowning :$ I was mesmerised for hours until he started to scare me :| :$

Can I just be a little controversial here and say I got a bad bag of Smith's Chip Sticks last night They just weren't up to scratch. They were pretty much exactly the same as the Chipmunk 10p copies, which isn't good.

They are no longer Smiths of course. It's just a front. They have been taken over by Walkers. They got Frazzles at the same time.

The same thing happened with Monster Munch from KP, and look what happened to them.

Walkers don't care about our snacks, they are owned by Frito-Lay (who are owned by Pepsi-Co). They are american ffs, what do they know about savoury snacks, they can't even spell it (it's savoury not savory)!

Always used to get me that one as well. I'd have thought it would have been Lincoln or Kings Lynn or somewhere more in that direction. But no, Leicester (and surrounding area - Ashby-de-la-zouch - love that name) is where it's at crisp wise, no two ways about it.
