technics 1200's.....the only deck to buy

and a good quality gemini or numark mixer with replaceable crossfader, Im not really into paying loads of doh for a mixer that does loads of stuff that you never end up using OIMO;)

I've got a set of 1200's (came second hand with a mixer for about £500). wouldn't say its worth paying out for a new set.
Since then, bought a Denon DNx100 mixer £200 (just the job in my opinion).
And am shortly gonna purchase the new Denon cd deck for them tunes I will never otherwise own :)

ive had a pair of nearly new 1210's for 12yrs now and are imo the dogs nuts!
i would recommend them and wouldnt touch anything else coz all ive done is changed the needles a few times, and have never even had them serviced!
and believe me,they've had some hammering!phones: phones:

Technics decks all the way, and a pioneer mixer. You cant go wrong with these tools, industry standard and bullit proof.

One other thing to consider, which is only a tiny gripe about technics decks is that the pitch only goes to +8:( Some other decks on the market go beyond this, which comes in handy for playing some of the older tunes at a faster tempo.

Its all down to how much your willing to spend at the end of the day.

Good luck:thumbsup:
