I have always & will always despise egg though :hurl: Food of satan...

With you there. Even talking about them can have me honking. Apparently I used to eat them as a toddler. But for as long as I can remember they have made me hurl when I have tried them since I have puked everytinme. Yet as soon as they've had sugar added to them ie cakes, or oil ie mayonaise then they become edible.

You may find it hard to believe such svelte figure as myself enjoys food. But there's pretty much nothing else on the worlds menu that I don't like. Not that keen on offal but love haggis and white/black puddings. Overcooked veg is a no no. Picked up a love of raw bacon from my Mum and if I get a fillet, then its pretty certain half of it won't make it to the frying pan :) Sushi is the only other raw meat I'll entertain though.

Contrast this to when I was a kid, and if Mum treated herself to a steak I snubbed my nose and opted for the sasages. And my stepdad loved curries which were no way passing my lips, now I get the shakes if I don't get a fix once a week.

What Mark said.
There should be no bacteria or parasite problems if your butcher is worth his salt.

I'm certain Britain is an ill-er place these days due to this over sanitised society that we seem to have let the media scare us in to.

Aye maybe. The caveman diet is the talk of the all the press these days so who knows. Then again most of those could have died from eating bad meat for all we know.

I defo agree on the sanitised nation shizzle though and i've been saying it for years. My mate was always ill and his wife was always hygiene conscious and using the antibacterials thinking she was protecting her kids from harm but they were always ill too:crazy: :(

Same with the probiotic drinks to replace the good bacteria, surely all that will do is stop your body naturally producing it over time:S

I agree with earlier points that we're becoming over sanitised and its actually having a detrimental effect on us. Never thought about that with the pro biotic drinks though Jigs as I have them myself, good point though:thumbsup:

I've always liked most foods since I could remember but as a kid I'd never eat Tomatoes of any kind, but will eat them all now, tinned, sun dried, fresh however they come. Also didn't use to like onions, olives or cooked mushrooms but eat them all now.

As far as steaks go my Mum pretty much incinerates them so thats how I used to have them and was neer really a fan as found them to be tough and chewy but I have started to eat them rare when I have them and do quite like the tatse.

I love to try new fish dishes when I go out as we never usually have it at home, apart from the usual cod and tuna.

Love fish it's awesome dead simple to cook and dead good for you

Winds me up when you go to restaraunts (particularly in the states they're bad for this) and they take a lovely piece of fish and fartarse about with it adding flavours and sauces and god knows what to make it look/sound impressive.
Most fish has delicate subtle flavour and needs very little seasoning to taste gorgeous.
Also in the states if they're not fannying about with fish and ruining it that way, then they overcook it till it goes hard and dry and it's like eating cotton wool.

Keep It Simple Stoopid

Whole bream or bass or trout whack it on a sheet of foil lob a bit of sea salt on and some lemon juice and maybe a sprig or 2 of herbage, drizzle a bit olive oil ower it then fold the foil into a bag sealing all four edges down tight then in the oven for 15-20 minutes (depending on the size & thickness of the fish).

Few veggies (babby carrots, peas, cauli, broccoli, sparrows arse or whatever) and boiled spuds with butter or mash...

Gorgeous, quick and healthy

im a big fan of game i.e venison, pigeon ect, ribeye's are the shiz but rump is tender and flavousum and all have to be cooked RARE, imo why anyone would want to spend good money on meat and cook all the flavour out of it is well......????????? but like i say thats my opinion :D

As for fish, my fav has to be monkfish it is a meaty type of fish and tastes fit as fook:thumbsup: red mullet and snapper are also high on my diet.
I tend to cook my fish in tin foil with spring onions lemon juice few slices of chilli salt n pepper normally with cous cous and baby leaf salad and a little balsamic dressing;)

As for wen i was a kid i hated sprouts and sausage casserole:naughty: i used to swallow the sprout whole used to look like i was shaggy eating a fookn scooby snack:S My dad once made a sausage casserole and never fried the sausages so after a few hours in the oven they came out slimey, i still have nightmares bout that shite

but who in their right mind puts tom on a sarnie ? Makes the bread go soggy :naughty:
I do, but only if making it then eating straight away. That way, no soggy bread! Voila!! :D

Always have my steaks well done ed and speak to anybody who's been on a food course and they will tell you that it needs to be well done to kill the bacteria in raw meat.

Fooking annoys me when I order a steak well done and it comes back slightly bloody:mad: :naughty: :cops:
The meat does taste nicer rare, less chewy!! :D I hate it when I ask for it rare and it's frikkin well done! Yes, you can get tape worms from meat that isn't well done, but if you get good meat then shouldn't be a problem! :D
In addition to steak being rare, i also prefer my beef and lamb pink. Obviously pork/ chicken i like cooked but still juicy.
It's the only way, I HATE dry meat! Eurgh!! :hurl:
