Im after a decent music book to read and am thinking of getting the class of 88. Is it a good read or is there any other books similair to this you recommend?

My mate has a brilliant one, its very collectable and quite expensive though. Can't remember the name Im going over to see him this weekend though so ill find out the ISBN

If you get class of 88 don't get the 2nd edition that wayne anthony had re-pressed. It's like a proof copy (like a white label of the book world lol)
Full of all the spelling mistakes, bad punctuation, crap editing story wise etc etc

The only one Ive read is class of 88 and I loved it but just aint much of a reader to bother with any others.

If you want a music one...Energy Flash, I enjoyed the Rough Guide to Techno as well. There's a good article in the Wire mag at the moment about the rise of the 303.
If you want a scene one...Shooms' recommendation is good, as is Class of 88, What kind of a House Party is, at best, mediocre imho & my copy has been falling apart for years.
Altered States I thought was ok as well.
