I mean he has done some right old tosh, but when it was good.. . .Well... As a footnote I would like to add that one can not under-estimate the role of Quincy Jones. Jackson was a brilliant, but it was Jones that made him a genius in my opinion.

A brilliant combination.

That my friend, is very true. As far as I'm concerned Whacko hasn't made a decent record since 1984, but the two albums he did with Quincy Jones, "Off The Wall" and "Thriller" rank amongst the best. The Last track on OTW, Burn this Disco Down, is superb.

Indeed Adam.

However, Quincy Jones did produce Bad in 1987 also which again had some good tracks, but Michael co-produced and the standard was not as high.

Jacko without Jones = Tosh.

Some very good points there jaxxy :) I feel very sad that he has died, his music was a huge part of my childhood. I remember wanting to go and see him at Cardiff Arms Park when I was 11 but I wasnt allowed :(

Apparantly they say that you stay the mental and emotional age that you were when you first became famous and obviously in Michael Jacksons case he was a child, which would explain a lot! I dont think he was a paedophile either, a very confused and sad man yes and it just goes to show no amount of money or fame can give you happiness.

A very sad loss indeed :(

Ooops this is sweet btw!

point well made Al, i can totaly understand that being a parent, anyone who thinks that 26 million dollars,,,,,,or any amount of money in the world for that matter is enough to justify the the price of there childs inosence is a very sick twisted individual, and should burn in hell for that. But know one wants to point the finger in there direction. Do they ??

As for MJ paying them off, cant anyone with one ounce of comon sence understand why he would pay them off. true or not true, if it had gone to court, even if MJ had won the case, people would still class him as guilty....you only have to look at the coments on this thread to see that.

People are far to easy to make asumptions simply on what they see in the tabloid media, non of us have first hand evidence to blame our claims on, because non of us ever met him, or was involved in the case first hand, we simply make asumtions on what the media tell us,

However, we all do have the choice to flex our mind a little, and read both sides of a storey.....look at the background of MJ though his biografies, listen to the words in his songs. This guy had a very strict up-brining by his father who would beat him for anything less than perfection...he was never alowed a childhood, his Father would stand at the end of his bed when he was 5 years old holding a knife, threatning to attack him when he woke up, just to toughen him up (again......no one is pointing the finger at his Father). MJ grew up missing the most important thing in his life.....A childhood (close your eyes for a second, and try imagine how that would feel like for you, i bet like me, you cant even start to imagine) This guy then tried to build this world with the money he earned, but as we all know (just like the parents who think there child is worth 26 million dollars) money can never buy you happiness. Add to this a complete sence of icelation, from being told by the world that you are a god, and therefor diffrent to all others.....Is there realy any wonder in the world that you might see things diffrent to the so called "normal"

MJ was no Peado......he was a despratly lonley guy, who thoughout everything he went through in life, still held hope for world peace, and to express true love for everyone in the world......ask yourself this question. Would you, me or anyone else involved with this thread be able to say they could go though all this, without wanting revenge on the world.......he did, i dont think i could if i was to be honest

There is know wonder he ended up going all weird.......but that dont make him a kiddy fiddler

The problem with this world is the media have made us that paranoid, we cant even dear be seen playing with children without worring, that the person next to us thinks we are being dodgy......not all people over 20 that play with children are peadophiles......some people are just nice !!!!!

Stop judging them on bollox that the media has shapped you to believe, use your common sence for once!!!

Well said mate

im really upset just now with the controversy stuff...I too believe, being a mother of a priceless, beautiful daughter, that a loved child is worth more than any amount of money and if I knew, totally believing my daughters accusations that I would rage beyond belief if there was no trial at least!!!!
My favourite Uncle wrote a comment on my facebook page because I said MJ was a legend...heres his reply...............................
Legend Sharon? You mean like Marley, Lennon, Dylan, Plant, Mercury, Cobaine? What are the rules on unconvicted paedophiles Shaz? Is it if we know them and don't like them (and quite rightly so) they are vilified (again quite rightly so) but if we have never met them in our lives but are big superstar celebs we go with our "gut instinct" and give them the benefit of a very serious doubt? Double standards Shaz.....

does it mean he cannot be called a legend if he even was guilty?
wft?

For sure Michael Jackson was in the top two best entertainers of the last 30 years, no fuckwit tabloid money grabbing cock breath can take that away from him and certaintly not tarnish my opinion of one of the best.
