Yeah just heard about it and to be honest wasnt shocked.Shes been on a downward slope for a while now with her drug and drink antics.
Not sure if this is the cause of death but would be suprised if its not.
She did have a good voice and theres only one track she did that i liked,not a fan of hers to be honest but its a shame she has died.
I suppose the message out there is dont do drink and drugs because one day it will kill ya.
I went through a spell back in the day of getting off my head but now have turned that around and these days i hardly even ever drink never mind hard drugs,might have a bifter now and then but overall im clean and happy.
Expect sales of her music to rocket now as this seems to happen when ya pop ya clogs.May she rest in peace.

It was never going to be any other way for her. After the videos came out from her concert last month, I actually 'knew' she wasn't long for this world. She'll be someone my kids ask me about, like I did to my parents about Hendrix et al.

You hope,drugs are bad news, do you trust your dealer,lots of money can be made by adding shite to pure drugs.You need to stay away from the awful shit out there,no1 is untouchable.Just say no.

In all the years I've taken drugs, Ive never seen anyone get carted off to hospital. I have with drinking however, and knew a lad who died. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but so does being killed by a hockey puck, or an MRI scan. :| Let's be realistic here, I will die of something else...it's not going to be drugs, it's more likely to be a car crash (if we're talking statistics here...I don't actually wanna die in a crash).
Also, with the majority of people on here taking drugs (even if occasionally)...you're comment might not be well placed. I'm sure people have seen the literature, the news on the topic etc. And they (intelligent people) have decided to still do it. Personally, I found your comment patronising. Anyone can die from anything. If it is drugs with Winehouse (which it probably is)...it will have been her attitude towards the drugs, not the drugs that have killed her...most people who take drugs don't do that, and have a respect for what they're doing.
I presume you have a reason for not doing it anymore, and having changed your views so dramatically (once having taken drugs urself)...and im presuming it can't be good. I don't really wanna argue here on good old osa, but I felt I had to say something. people have a choice, there's bad stuff everywhere, and it's not just drugs.

Fair comment,i dont take drugs anymore cause i got kids.They are my first priority and if some1 like amy winehouse had children she may be alive today.
Yes there are parents who take drugs but guaranteed if social services caught wind of it they would stop.
Drugs(class a) are bad news,they ruin lives and dont make ya feel any better in the long run.
As i stated in my first post i hammered drugs(e,s and whizz) in the early 90s,i was single and had no responsibilities and basically when thinking about it i just followed the crowd.I lost weight,was skint and became in a rut,Im closer to 40 now
and have not touched hard drugs for 15-20 years now and never will.You may not die outright but slowly they will take years off your life if ya use em frequently.As you said lozzie there are people who take drugs on here and my comments wont go down well,well thats there choice to do so,and lets hope it has no influence on there kids if they got em.
Overall im drug free because im a parent and proud of it.
Innit, back in the day i'd eat like i was training before a night on the chems, even as far as eating pineapple with meals so as the enzymes helped digest any meat etc that i'd ate i stayed at 13 to 14 stone throught the late 80's and 90's despite tanning it 3 to 4 nights a week, work got done with no detriment, in fact overtime on saturdays got done in record time as the entire shop floor and sales staff were out along with me..
I was fucking anal about it, yeah i got the Wednesday comedowns but i was never a total wreck 'cause i'd took precautions of eating well and training hard and getting on with my job.
After a night id force a banana down, with a sports drink, it soon came to the point when i could eat normally on chems.

This could go on ever especially as it seems some osaers do take drugs so its obvious ya not gonna agree and thats cool.
If your child was on drugs would you do everything in your power to get em off it even if it was just recreational,of course you would i hope,but WHY,the dangers of life are all around us so whats the big deal.

Look a young woman is dead, we don't know the reason why yet.
However, if it is due to drugs which is likely, let us not rush to judge.
I have seen so many stupid remarks on the internet about her demise. What motivates people who don't know Amy Winehouse to take pleasure or delight from her death sickens me.
Also, so many people have lacked any compassion, just saying it was her own fault, she had a choice, she deserved it etc.
Addiction is a terrible thing and yes, while you may initially choose to drink or take drugs, once addicted it is very difficult to stop no matter how much money or help is available to you.
I knew a young girl, younger than Amy who died from alcoholism and her family and friends did everything they could. . . to no avail.
You don't have to be famous, it happens to ordinary people everyday.
People hide behind the safety of a keyboard and say stupid horrible things, which saddens me.
A young girl is dead, a talented girl is dead. Her family will be devastated and always think they could have done something they did'nt that might have made the difference.
It is just a tragic waste of life.
