Right time to get digital now that 50 of my records are either in the garage or boxed!

Bought myself a little Dell 1764 running i3 with 4gb ram etc and 500 gb had for starters which will store my mp3's however eventually want to play wav's so thinking of upgrading to smallish ssd and having external hd for music. Question is that SL1 only has 2 inputs, can this be expanded to 4 with the use of phono y or splitter cables. Would be good quality cables but how sensitive is the sl1? Other option is simply to swap plugs over but would prefer not. Main reason I have Pionerr CDJ's which simply don't get used and SL would be a good way to introduce them back into the set up?

It's like taking a rugby ball and a football to a field and wanting to play with both at the same time. It doesn't make sense as Serato 1 can only handle 2 sources at once.

That said, you could buy the piggyback leads and do it that way, although using either the record deck or cd deck on each input, not both.

Jiglo, you get me wrong, it would either be vinyl or cd's, not 2 together. Just I'm too lazy to swap leads and would likely play timecode vinyl only. If its a case of simply switching on CDJ's and using channels 1 & 4 instead of 2 & 3 (designated to 1200's) then I'm more likely to use the CDJ's occasionally.

The question is just whether the SL1 is very sensitive to signal quality as y cables or splitters can result in a very slight loss.

I used piggybacks with SL1, but I can't remember why now as I only used 2 turntables :S

I didn't notice a drop in quality, but I dunno, maybe a perfectionist would. That is to say there might have been a drop in quality, but it wasn't something that stood out enough for me to notice in the transition.
