Arkitekt welcomes 2012 in stunning style with a panoramic blast of house and techno in Leeds’ Vox club. A brand new clubbing space based minutes away from the city centre, Vox boasts stunning stripped red brick walls, high ceilings and a plush stainless steel exterior; the perfect acid house environ with a contemporary twist.
Topping the bill is none other than the king of the bumpty Bump, Chicago’s finest Derrick Carter, a man set to start the next twelve months in the same emphatic fashion he has ended these in. This year he re-launched his seminal imprint Classic with a slew of parties and digitally enhanced beats, toured across the globe and even found time to showcase his love of disco and song based funk with a series of special Derrick does disco dammit events.
Support for Derrick comes in the shape of a hotbed of UK talent. . Jesse Rose, fresh off his recently Made for Night mini documentary and mix compilation, brings his own skewered house sound as does Leftroom records lynchpin Matt Tolfrey.
