Below celebrate the dawn of a new year with a heaving line-up of big names and local talent on New Years Day at The Rainbow, with Seuil, Shonky, Bloody Mary, residents Subb-An and Adam Shelton and many more all playing.
First up, headliner Shonky is the groovy house man who's records for the likes of Freak n Chic, Real Tone, Culprit and more have established him as a champion of the current house scene. He spins his 4/4 wares everywhere from fabric to Rex, DC: 10 to Watergate and is joined on the line-up by countryman and fellow LOLA Ed star Seuil.
This man's micro house and fluttering minimal sounds have been released on Circus Company and Supplemental Facts as well as many more top contemporary labels. His delicate sounds are heartfelt and emotional like few other producers of the day.
Of course, One Records main men Adam Shelton and Subb-An are also on the line-up having had a quite incredible year smashing it up everywhere from the WMC to fabric and just about every other club that's worth its salt. Their productions too have found favour with a learned tech hosue crew and so will make a welcome return home on NYD.
Popping over from legendary Leeds night Back to Basics will be Frenchy and Tristan da Cunha as well as Illusion Recordings main man Tom Craven, One Records' Seelie and Cloak & Daggers man Lewis Oxley.
The Below parties are now legendary and take over all the spaces of The Rainbow so this event WILL sell out. Make sure you get your tickets ASAP as the place only holds 500 people and with this being such a great way to see in the New Year you'll be one of a million trying to get in on the action...rightly so, too!
