April is a month of change. Frost thaws, flowers grow and birds begin to sing. A traditional marker of the shift from gloom to bloom, Spring is all about getting a little bit more COLOUR in your life..
Friday the 16th sees us return to Sankeys for the second party of our 2010 residency with another defining line-up. Anticipation is growing, and we feel that we have delivered…
First up we enrolled Karl O’Connor, the man known as Regis. A pioneer of advanced, industrial UK techno, and a visionary who remains on the crest of music’s cutting edge. Having spent a lot of time playing a key role in such influential duos as BMB, O/V/R and Sandwell District, we’re chomping at the bit to see him unleash his own personal cutting edge brand of techno.
Next is Cari Lekebusch, a long standing veteran and one of the most consistent Swedish techno artists of the last fifteen years, yet very rarely seen playing on these shores. Cari has an epic range of influences, clearly displayed throughout his discography of constantly evolving material on Hybrid Productions and other labels. We’re excited to see what this often overlooked mainstay of European techno will bring to the table.
Our last artist needs no introduction. Responsible for two of the most popular essential mixes ever done, founder of one of the most longstanding and influential techno labels in existence, Adam Beyer has done it all. As a DJ he is renowned for his finely tuned beat-matching abilities, and as a producer for his infallible and instantly recognisable take on techno as it has developed, which has cemented him at the forefront of the scene his entire career. Last time he played Sankeys he provided one of the highlights of '09. Now he returns to allow us the privilege of hosting what is set to be the equivalent for 2010.
3 artists, all headliners in their own right, brought together for yet another unmissable night of techno music.
