On Saturday 5th June the irrepressible TOOLROOM KNIGHTS launch another sonic assault on Belfast as they return for the next instalment of their EXCLUSIVE residency at the mighty Yello. Leading the charge whilst making his IRISH DEBUT, the knight in the spotlight this time round is none other than Cologne based uber-producer TOCADISCO.
A self-confessed “nonconformist”, Tocadisco refuses to be labelled or restricted by any one particular genre of electronic music. A self-taught musician, he has worked alongside and inspired such artists as Fisherspooner and David Guetta. He’s remixed everyone from Mylo, New Order and the Pet Shop Boys to Booka Shade, Sharam and Tiga. A true master of his craft with a unique vision, Tocadisco is one of the most formidable producers to alight the planet’s dancefloors in the last decade.
Together with Chris Lake, Tocadisco has mixed the new Toolroom Knights Mix compilation, released on Toolroom Records on Monday 7th June. Where better to celebrate their monstrous release than at one of their longest standing global residencies – YELLO.
Assisting Tocadisco on the night will be fellow Toolroom Knight MARK STORIE. Mark is a global resident for the Knights and has also mixed the upcoming Toolroom Ibiza compilation, released in June. Yello resident DIBBY DOUGHERTY completes the bill for what looks set to be one of the most talked about parties in Belfast this summer!
Doors open 10pm, admission £5 before 11.30pm, £10 after. Students (NUS) and bar / club scene staff gain admission for £5 all night long!
