"The Defected In The House Live event is really going to stand out. I’ve always loved my dance songs the most, from 'You Got The Love' to 'Young Hearts Run Free' and now, my 'Wilder Side' collaboration with Rasmus Faber and Alf Tumble. The idea is innovative, dynamic and simply incredible.”
Candi Staton

Hold on to your eardrums people, this is the Defected LIVE! – a ground-breaking night of live house music and superstar DJs at London most famous venue. It’s like a dream club and concert have been rolled into one; a spectacle you simply shouldn’t miss.

Be clear people, this event will see the original recording artists performing their own gigantic releases as well as other dance classics. You will get to experience firsthand Candi Staton singing ‘You Got The Love’, Julie McKnight will perform KOT ‘Finally’, Barbara Tucker ‘Beautiful People’ and ‘Most Precious Love’, and Steve Edwards will sing ‘World Hold On’. There will be also be plenty more performances and all will be backed by the specially created Defected In The House Live Band. But that’s not all, expect peak time DJ sets from the Shapeshifters, Copyright and Simon Dunmore – with the drum warrior Shovell (M People) on Percussion, keeping you locked to your spot well into the early morning.

The Defected In The House live band has been exclusively put together for this project. The band consists of an all star five piece of talented musicians, all with the ability to replicate the sound of the original tracks acoustically. The band is headed up by Robin Lee ‘Faze Action’ who has worked with the likes of John Enwhistle ‘The Who’, Reel People and Peven Everett. He is joined by Basement Jaxx drummer Nathan Curran, while backing vocals come from Mary Moore, formerly Groove Armada’s lead vocalist and Xantone Blacq, Amy Winehouse’s keyboard player. Guitar comes from Bluey May the musical director for Kano, Little Boots and Findlay Brown and keys from Pete Zivcovic who formerly worked with X-Press 2.

This is not only the ultimate DJ and Live music clubbing experience but a one-off opportunity to hear an illustrious range of artistes performing house music in a never-heard-before live context, all together on the same stage. We cannot stress enough the uniqueness of this event and invite all house fans for a night they’ll never forget.
