On Saturday 21st August two of East Village's most popular musical sessions join forces for a summer special. Downstairs in the basement it's VHF (Vintage House Foundation), VHF a night to remind clubbers of the rich musical house heritage London has. This is not a cheesy classics night but more of a reminder of forgotten house gems from ‘87 to ’07. Records that rocked London's more discerning dance floors from ‘Shoom’ to ‘Secretsundaze’, ‘Solaris’ to ‘Soulsonic’. The first party went down a storm with London's house heads and we've stepped it up for this one inviting Karizma over from the States to headline the party. He has an undoubted house legacy from his early days with the legendary Basement Boys to his own more recent solo productions that appeal to both the soul and tech house crowds. Resident dj is ‘Stuart Patterson’ who was resident at two of London's most important house clubs in the late 90's and early naughties ‘Soulsonic’ and ‘Faith’. Musically think Dirt Crew, DJ Gregory, The Mole, Dubtribe, Model 500, MotorCitySoul, Fingers Inc, Solomun, Red Planet, Bobby Konders, Audio Soul Project, KenLou not Alison Limerick or M-People, a night where vocals, deep house, jazzy techno, afro and tech house all fit. Opening things up in fine fashion is a real name from back in the (early) days of the London house scene Dom Moir

Here's an hour mix from resident Stuart Patterson to get a flavour of the night

Upstairs expect a killer selection of the roots of real house - disco as The Village Disco crew take over. Sophie Lloyd is joined by Serge Santiago, AD (Hot Blood) and some very special guests who mix up the disco from the classic to unreleased upfront bizness.
