It’s the big one this weekend as legendary and long running Leeds night Kissdafunk team up with Parliament to offer you Spain’s most revered DJing export… Wally Lopez!
Parliament (the night which comes to you courtesy of three top promoters, Alex Simmons, Rob Tissera and Ray Chan) has started super strong this Autumn with some amazing parties already behind them. So strong, in fact, that they have moved to a bigger new venue to fit in all the ravers who want to get in on the act. So, leaving The Space, this Parliament will now take place at The Loft, one of Leeds’ coolest and largest venues in which headline Wally Lopez can serve up some pure house prilliance.
This summer Wally released his Global Underground mix CD and is the latest in a long line of prodigious talents to have been charged with the honour. The Spaniard, who runs Factoria Records and Factomania Group, can often be found wooing crowds at the best parties in the world (think Space, Ibiza, Exit Festival, Ministry of Sound) whilst his productions and remixes on labels like 303 Lovers, Toolroom and the now sadly defunct Renaissance can also count many of the world’s top DJs as fans.
Support comes from Kissdafunk main man Rob Tissera who has years of house and electro spinning experience behind him, as well as scorching talent Alex Simmons (promoter behind Leeds’ most popular and long running night Habit) who will provide yet more magnificent house music to which you can shape shift all night long.
Behind Parliament are three of the most experienced promoters in the business: First up is Alex Simmons, the driving force behind Leeds’ most popular and long running night Habit; then there’s Ray Chan of brightly coloured, great looking Liverpool/Leeds/Manchester and Newcastle night Candy Pants, and finally Rob Tissera, the man who has single handedly ruled the north with his upfront house and electro parties - under the Kissdafunk banner - for years. It’s a brand Rob has taken on world tours, with which he has done full Ibiza seasons and which has residencies all over the UK.
