GERD JANSON
There is no doubt that when Gerd Janson made his Cutloose debut in November 2009 he rocked a roadblocked Roadhouse basement. It was certainly one of the standout nights of 2009; to end 2010 in style, it seemed fitting that we invited the man back for our special Christmas knees up. Gerd has been serving the hottest house and disco cuts for years at Frankfurt’s Robert Johnson, where he hosts the long running Liquid club night with comrades Thomas Hammann and Sven Helwig. Like many kids growing up in early 90s south-west Germany, Gerd was a regular at Mannheim’s legendary Milk Club, where he eagerly awaited the early morning hours, when the pace slowed down and US-style house was the ruling sound. A prolific music journalist (magazines Groove, Spex), Gerd is also co-owner of the respected Running Back label which has issued releases from the likes of Tensnake, Mark E, Prosumer and Move D.
A DJ who expertly fuses the new with the old, unearthing gems to excite a spectrum of music lovers, Cutloose guarantees that Gerd Janson will ignite the festivities at our December party – it’s sure to be a Christmas cracker!
