I was immediately drawn towards the Swoon 1995 remastered double pack from the legend that is Jon The Pleased Wimmin. I have so many blurred memories from that club at that time & would be proud to say that I may have only missed a handful of nights that Swoon created every Friday. The sets that held hundreds of us mesmerised & literally living for the weekend will be chatted about for ever due to the loyal masses that the adorable Angel & dodgy ponytailed Mark Rowley held in their palms week after week.
Swoon attracted some huge djs over time, but for me the residant djs set the platform & deserve to be mentioned along with the geeza Winston & new wave casual ( lol ) Ted?
Obviously the Swoon reunion has ignited a spark but this old faithful has yet to be drawn back to the helm & must point out that a reunion isn't a reunion if it's repeated every week with a generation that weren't part of its origin & are buying in to a sell out. I know my memories of that club are real & whilst I'm confused by a set from the legend Graham Parkes that spanned 4 years & 3 dance genres proves that swoon cannot be recreated... Yeke Yeke & xpansions are bangin tunes but I promise you GP were never played together on a Friday at swoon.....ask the dutchess Angel.. Shure she would agree.

Chat shat forever this vinyl junky does.
