Can anyone help clear this up, i had a debate with Jonno a few weeks ago about the band Soulwax, who have a album titled 'much agaist everyones advice', and track 8 on this is 'too many dj's'. Its not a mixed cd, or a compilation of others work- just thier own music in standard 4-6 min length tracks (obviously they do use some samples but you know what i mean). Right the confusion started when Jonno said that the artist was actually called '2 many dj's' and they have a mix cd out from a live set called 'as featured on radio soulwax', and he brought round the cd earlier that he bought me to prove it. (its great btw). This is basically a really good hour or so mix of others works- really eclectic stuff eg mixing Dolly Partons 9-5 into Royksopps Eple, sounds a bit odd but it really is good and without wanting to sound like Linda Barker- it works really well. Thing is they are both on Pias Recordings label, so does anyone know if they are the same folks just recording under a different name, as in when the are the composers so to speak they are soulwax, and when performing dj sets they use the name '2 many dj's'. Mucho confuso is causing me to continue with the g+t's at this early hour instead of doing essays :)
