ok peeps its time to upgrade my dog of a pc
i aint got a prob putting it together if its parts .
im going to get a new monitor but not yet
so im just after upgrading me case proccessor motherboard memory ect

my only downside is cash flow ive got around 200 to 250 quid max to spend

ive allready got a hard drive but if i can get a cheap one that would be a bonus.
i have a cd rw drive and a graphics card aswell
i prefer amd proceessors
any1 got any advice for me and some prices would be nice if thats not to much to ask of you nice peeps.

I'm certainly no expert, but I'm also begging the slow process of rebuilding my pc with better bits too.
Have a look at www.ebuyer.co.uk abd www.dabs.co.uk They have a lot of stuff to browse through, and on ebuyer you can also read through all the customer reviews.

One thing that has amazed me while I've been looking is the price of hard drives. I had no idea that they were so cheap. Think I might get two. :)

www.overclockers.co.uk have quite a few fancy cases if you've got a bit of wonga to splash out, plus all the other bits and bobs you'll need.

Have a look at http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/AMD_Bundles.html for some decent "bundles". Each bundle is made up of a motherboard, cpu and memory and have been tested to ensure they are all compatible with each other.

For example, the AMD Athlon 64 2800 CPU, Abit KV8 motherboard and 512Mb of GeIL PC3200 memory comes into your price range.

Whats the current spec of your machine and what do you use it for most? For example, if you have a 1/2 decent CPU then you may want to concentrate on getting a gfx card if you like your gaming.

Let us know what you have now and what you plan to do with it and maybe we can offer some more specific advice.

i gotta upgrade

fug the only parts worth having off this machine are the hard drive and cd writer .
i deffo need new a new proccesor and motherboard the ones i have just aint gud enough to do much with,
i only just meet the minimum requirments for broadband pmsl
it doesnt even have a agp slot only pci lol
im going to need a new case lol this one being bent good style

my pc will be used for a lot of stuff and some gaming.
so faster the better (as cash dictates)
stuff like graphics card can be got at a latter date
i am going to need something i can just put together an use
i will be adding any extra bits as i can afford em
i will probably use this dog of a moniter (if i can lol) till i get a new one
thats top of me list after i get me main bits
advice would be nice tho
