the other night when i first set em up the amp shorted to standby a few times, and i asked the guy i bought it from who said to check the earths on the back of the decks, which i unscrewed and refastened em tightly and that seemed to have sorted the problem. earlier i plugged the lead to connect me pc into the vacant phono imput and since then its started again, both with the decks and pc if i turn it up a bit. the sound from the pc is all muffled and barely recognisable, but ive tried it in aux with the decks in phono and whilst the sound was much better/louder from the decks (in phono) it shorted the amp as soon as it got to a decent level. so i tried re earthing me decks, and put em back on to aux channel as thats what the guy who had em had it on (as they were still in the back of the amp) any ideas what else it could be and also why the sounds from me pc wont play properly:crazy:  cheers Woody
