an imac and two turntables

Me and my mate luke have to do a mix for a cd. he has a new imac (one that looks like angle poise lamp) two decks and a mixer. I have the software to record from an input. What leads do we need? I don't want to trek all the over to his witha bag of records and be unable to do nowt. Thx for any pointers in advance

Well apart from the leads for power and to connect your decks to the mixer I'd guess you'd just need a stereo phono (also known as RCA) to 3.5mm stereo jack lead. Shouldn't cost much more than a fiver.

just a line in lead from ur mixer to the soundcard will do the trick

use soundforge for the recording.......i pissed about with loads of programs to do it and found this one the best

turns out it wasn't as simple as that

the imacs don't have audio in so you have to buy a usb audio adapter then you're sorted
