Is there any anti virus and spyware removers out there that actually scans removable disks that are connected via a usb port?

any anti virus or spyware scanner should be able to scan removable media
at least in prinicple
Since the drive appears in Windows Explorer, it can be scanned
Sometimes there are special settings to include removable media during a full scan (e.g. 'Scan local removable disk drives' in Kaspersky), but the manual way (usually 'right-click/Scan...')

Problem was with my antivirus I had to switch off and restart for the drive to be detected - however webroot spy sweep (which does a fine job) cannot detect external drives(or I cannot get it to detect the external drives)
Had to go to ad-aware for the moment until their tech help gets back to me.

I'll check my spyware doctor tonight when I get in, ive not used it for ages now cause I'm getting used to lovely porn pop ups now
