 How do you know all this? lol. The dealer told me the pearlescent paint was like metallic, and help stops rust like metallic flakes.......but you know me, Im paranoid enough not to take that at face value. I believe ordinary paint jobs dull over time, and I know red is a nightmare for it. So Im guessing the pearlescent models will be an advantage later on?...... not that I have a choice If I accept the deal- they are dark/navy blue pearlescent, no option. I thought the coating option was a bit suspect. Its got three years cover on the car, but I dont know if paint jobs will be included, just incase some idiot showers me with gravel. Can you buy this wax stuff like normal car wax and put it on yourself after youve cleaned it? Or is it more specialised? More to the point, if you think its useless, theres no point. How do you know that blue paints come with blue or black primer? My parents are warning me about the colour because they had a deep blue metro once in the late 80's and it apparently showed every little mark and always looked dirty all the time. Can you pioint me to somewhere that definately says most cars thesedays come with coloured undercoat? Its (roughly) this colour on the attachment Yeah, I know what your saying about the colour issue being finicky and not worth it.....guess Im being a worry pot. Wasnt what I had in mind, I see drawbacks to it, but thats the hand Ive been dealt so either I get in there before they go (theres only 2 available) or I turn it down. :S . Cheers Sirius.
