[QUOTE="sirius, post: 481871, member: 258"] Cheers :) You will have saved me some money on that paint coating stuff if I go for the car. I was cynical about it (well, Im always cynical lol) and could recognise a lot of what was obvious slick patter to get me onside (ie tales of the brother in law having x problem etc lol, probably doesnt even have a brother in law lol), but some things you do wonder. The paint in the broshure says Damas Blue pearlescent, the silver, grey and black are all metallic, and the red is neither. So if I understand you right, the pearlescent makes no difference to rust, unlike metallic? So if I had the choice, Id be better off with a metallic rather than the pearl..... I cant say Ive been that intensive at looking in showrooms. I need a city car, dont want owt big, something cheap as chips to run and insure, something environmentally freindly, passenger and pedestrian safe, and as its a treat, something that looks good and is lush enough inside for its car class. Didnt like the style of the Getz, cant afford a Honda Jazz, the renualts are looking a bit tired thesedays, dont want a Fiat (heard the most scare nightmares about fiats)......this leaves Citroen, Toyota and Peugot really. And as it happens, theyve all combined to make three city cars at the same plant, the 107, the C1 and the Aygo. Wading through loads of reviews, the general consensus was the C1 was the best pick for the price, and theyve all got 4 out of 5 ratings, etc. The test drive went okay, nice drive, so I picked the C1 really. The peugot and toyota are almost the same car, just a few body panels are different style. Might get him to go halves on some mats and front/rear mudflaps lol. He's already throwing in 500 for the air con, and a bit off cos I have no trade in and he wants these two to be cleared before the end of the month.
