That's vinyl dealers of course..

Just found this rather cool looking board and not really sure yet how things work here. I've got in the region of 1500 tunes I've weeded out of my collection, mainly dupes and some stuff that I don't particularly want. I can't really be arsed to type out everything I've got here to get rid of which is partly why they've sat here for the best part of this year making my place look untidy and I'm not necessarily fussed about getting cash for them, a trade could be just as acceptable to me. I'm also not really looking to sell them off bit by bit, I want to get rid of them as a job lot.

I have listed 50 odd tunes that kind of jumped out when I flicked through, these are not neccesarily the best in the pile, and I'll have to add that there is some gash in the pile too! Shame you can never choose which promos you get sent but there you go.

Here's what I've listed for someone else, if anyone's interested perhaps we can discuss via PM, mail, or phone. The comments aren't necessarily mine so to speak, when I put this list together for someone I used HTFR for reference, so pasted some of there comments in.

Difficult to put a price on it really mate. I'm open to offers, I got prices for 20 of these listed above on HTFR, and that came to over £250. I know HTFR are overpriced but that's all I could think of to use as a reference, so I'm not 100% sure what I'd expect to get for this 1500 as a job lot. I'm sure I saw a link in another thread for what was advertised as a collection being sold on Ebay which was £1500 for around the same ammount of tunes and that got sold. I guess somewhere in the order of £1000 would do it (90% of what I've got are promos, double packs etc, even some triples and quadriples too I think), but as I said earlier I'm not necessarily after hard cash. If there are dealers on here I would be just as happy with trading them providing they had stuff I'm after. So don't let the price put y'all off as I need to free up some room really need to get shot of this lot, so I'm happy to haggle!

like i say

If it wasn't for my cima exams in november
i'd be seriously interested
unfortunately i don't want to fail my
business taxation exam again

cheers for the offer

if i where you i'd wack em on ebay

in job lots of 100

sort them into record labels or genre's
and type them up
seriously it doesn't take that long, just type the 'name and title'
and 'email me any questions'
i individually listed 400 records the other thursday for the free listing day it took ten hours but i'd taken £50 overnight

i've made some serious money
on ebay i'm pushing £1000 sales a month
if it wasn't for my own record buying addiction
i'd be a rich man

oh and final point i find listing around the 20th of the month earns most money its payday for most people at the end of the month so people are willing to bid higher etc...

GOODLUCK

Thanks for your advice James, sounds like it could be financially rewarding . I may get around to doing, but on the other hand I may not as I weeded this lot out from my collection last Christmas, so the chances are they'll probably still be sat here after your exam!

Cheers and good luck with the exams.

If you're referring to those vinyl emporiums in Londinium, they're a right treasure trove aint they. I filled more than a bag or two in their Kensington High Road shop as well.
