I have been into the dance scene for over 10 years and think I could cut it as a female vocalist. Style wise Im into old skool chicago house, piano,etc. Also love the kinda ambient tunes that make you get goosebumps. Influences are wide and varied!!! Massive attack, Kate Bush, Everything But The Girl, and far too many others to mention. Have been singing since was knee high to a grasshopper and feel at 30 the time to do something cool with my voice is running out! Dont want to end up at 50 thinkin "I shouldve done it....."
If youre looking for someone to add some gorgeous, hairs up on the back of your neck kinda melodies then Im your gal. I live in liverpool and have cubase and soundforge but havent a clue how to use em!!! I'm pretty creative and good with words so enjoy writing lyrics. Also have access to rehearsal rooms pretty cheap.

for a start.....then theres club promoters galore n all sorts.

Also there was this 'Dj Soul' guy who was on here just recently who made this awesome trance track along the lines of Angelic - Its My Turn and Chicane - Lost u somewhere type thing. He may be wanting a singer for that uplifting trance style- I dont know cos I dont really know him, but you never know, he might do.

I humbly attempt to make a few things, but Im just an enthusiast rather than somebody trying to make it a career :).

Good luck, Im sure theres a few peeps on here who could 'put you on to somebody' type thing if youre worth your salt :).

We need more original singers if you ask me, its Ok sampling stuff all the time but its boring and tired and proper new lyrics which arent corny and good singing is just what the doctor ordered I reckon :).

I know what you mean about we need some originality putting into the music. Samplings all well and good, but I guess you can only recycle to a point until the whole thing goes into meltdown...
A case inpoint: DJ Sammy et al not good!!!
I dont see myself as an amazing singer(well after a bottle of red I do, lol) but Im a damn sight better than some of the crap that sells these days. Who buys these choons I ask myself?
Anyway, thanks for all your help, and rest assured when Im doing a PA at Creamfields I'll buy you all a beer!!!

Kay point taken! I havent got anything against the dosh side of things at all...the point I was tryin to make is that sometimes the whole sampling /remixing thing goes a bit over the top, to the point where theres no originality in the music. I just think thats a bit of a sad state of affairs... That said tho I did here a top remix last weekend of Cry Little Sister from the Lostboys film and it was amazing. So perhaps Im being a bit harsh on Monsieur Sammy.
