Anyone Know How To Get Simplecast Working On A Vista?

I have downloaded it but can't get it to work. It is now in a mess. I was told that as I have a vista I need a special device connected to my computer. I don't know what people mean though. I can't seem to find one of them on google search.

Could anyone on OSA tell me what I need and how to get Simplecast working on a vista computer?

I have vista Jim and it works on mine. Thing is that my laptop has no line in so it sounds crap when streaming. Grrrrr

Sounds like you need to walk through the set up procedure with one of the mods, that's if you intend to play here

Yes I'm now useing Sam Cast which will work on Vista. Done a few really good sets on Ravers Paradise. Just keep having problems setting the sound levels on volume and mic volume. I have been nearly making people get ear damage at times by accident.

Vista was rushed out and a lot of people bought it (including me) before the dreadlines hit the net after reviewers had time to test it properly. It made a lot of music software stop working properly, but in answer to the original question here, it does work fine with Simplecast and I use it on my PC when I play here and that's running Vista.

Just updating this thread to say that I have now managed to get Simplecast working on my vista. I knew there must have been a way as I knew a few people could get simplecast on a vista. For the last month I first used Sam Cast but a message came up to say that my trail had expired then I used Sam Broadcaster and the same message came up after about 3 wekks so I decided to go back to the simplecast that all OSA, PR & RP DJs use and it is now set up and working on my vista.
