Mine, both, need replacing...1 is sprung and the other is bound to be close behind it. It seems the only technics self service video that isn't on youtube...I have no problem taking the decks apart and removing the tone arm arrangement, I was wondering how far do I need to go? lol..prob all the way to the end, May aswell replace the pitchfaders too, that seems the easiest thing to do...can you get after market ones? are they any better?

never tried any of that tinkering stuff... there is a link floating around to someones business somewhere that does all that stuff. Still if you're prepared to give it a go.
Will keep my fingers crossed that mine stay in good working order...

It's an easy fix...had a quick look at the old 1200 I have...it is just a case of removing screws until you get to it...or the bottom of it...I'll do a quick write up with some pics for anyone else who wants to do it...and save well over a hundred pounds...lol...not act about money, I rebuilt my last car engine, twice, so there is nooooo way I gonna pay for an easy little job like this...and if it's fkd...I can write a lash up about sortin it with some pant elastic :D
