avi to DVD convertor prog

anyone know of a free download prog which converts .avi films to DVD? ive tried a few from download.com but they all stick a watermark in the middle of the film. Cheers, Ant

sorted now. I downloaded WinAVi but it had a watermark too. Ended up searching google last night for ConvertX and found a rapidshare link with a patch. Thanks all.

If the files you are converting are for your own use, to save ever having to burn DVD-R's again, you could opt for one of these:

Had one for over a year and it's been ace, plays all divx files as you grab them off the net

Dont know if you have found anything yet but i use DVD Flick and had no probs at all with it

You can get an .avi playing DVD player for nish all these days... why bother converting to waste disc space ?

cant really be going paying out for one of those Media ext drives, look good though.

My dvd player is a decent one but is shite obviously. Will only play DVD -R's too by the looks of it. :S Got about a 100 blank DVDs (+R!) too which have been sitting around for ages so im happy with the convertX s/w for the mo now, but gonna give that DVDFlick a try too, thanks
