avi to vcd

Right i`ve found the only way at the moment to watch the movies from the torrents is with .cue and .bin files and have had no problem at all with this its great and the quality is still good even on vcd.

Most of the one`s i want though are in avi so until i get a divx is there any sofware out there that can convert this easily and quickly?

I tried winavi and a few more but winavi always stuck and the others had rar files which i could not open.

Any suggestions folks??

Any dvd converting software will pick up the avi file and turn it into .vob - .avi is probably the best to convert as there is no loss from that format so im told. (I have winavi and have had no problems with it!)

As to the .rar that extenstion belongs to winrar and is a compressed file similar to a winzip file.

Get winrar from www.download.com it looks and operates just as well if not better that winzip.

Cheers mate i just want something simple and quick to convert .avi to vcd for the time being if you have got anything let me know winavi is not having it

Try obtaining a copy of Nero Ultra version 6 - there is a program called Nero Recode which if im correct in thinking will do the job for you

DVDSanta is proper simple to use - easy as!
it'll give you DVD output not VCD, but if the files small enough it'll still fit on a CD.
