Finally got hooked up and hoping to share some stuff from me old tapes over the coming months.

Sound quality not great - any tips on reducing hiss, etc, appreciated. Literally only just hooked up tape player to PC for first time an hour ago.

Anyhows, as a test, here's a 10 minute Baby Ford megamix from Jeff Young's Big Beat show in 89, containing tracks from the Ford Trax LP.

Cheers :ghost:

Desperate to do this myself. What kit do I need?

just a lead from your tape deck/hifi headphone socket or line out sockets to connect to the line in socket of your pc

eBay.co.uk - mini jack to mini jack, Home Audio Hi Fi, MP3 Player Accessories, Accessories items at low prices

and go to download.com and get a program to capture your tape deck signal

something like - adobe audition / cool edit / musicmatch jukebox

there are 100s of programs you can use, i just typed "record mp3" into the search window at download.com :-

Search results for record mp3 - Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com

hope this helps

Bought a pretty good one tail end of last year - Magicx audio cleaning deluxe - removes hiss, frying bacon, frying hissing anaconda sounds even - about £30, but well worth it
