Yeah Mark XTC's set was fookin ace! I didnt get there till late so only heard Marks set in full and crowd were loving his "harder" tunes. When I went on after Mark, I played some house for first 2 or 3 tracks and it didn't go down as well as usual so, being the versatile dj I am, lol. I dug out the breaks with tracks like reckless karnage, house crew, convert nightbird, mix factory, etc. and they went down a storm! Mikemikemike, u shud have stayed! BBDD is becoming more & more of a varied event with different styles being thrown into the mix and I've never heard anyone complain about it. Being a Manchester event, the DJ's usually favor the house sounds purely because its what the majority of the clubbers want, but djs like myself, Cano & the residents always try to add a bit of variety to it whilst at the same time, pleasing the more fickle and younger old skoolers out there. This is a general old skool night encompassing all styles not an event limited to breaks/bleeps/hardcore. And in my opinion, its one fo the best events to have featured up North since Timeless. Nuff said! 150 clubbers screaming "One more tune" after the music had stopped for over 5 minutes (4:10am) says it all!
