i love this stuff but missed out on loads of it originally because i dismissed it as speeded up rave shite that only southerners liked!
gawd blimey, what was i thinking? i now spend ages trawling through dusty boxes in 2nd hand shops looking for this sort of thing. :$

back then there was so much great music around that you had to pick and choose what you bought with your wages. after £25 for me ma and £?? for booze/fags/taxis (depending on what was going on) i had about £25 a week to spend on tunes. i was totally sucked in by italian house and u.s. house/garage. sure, i picked up the odd bit of breakbeat/speeded up vocal stuff but missed so much.

the irony is i now live daaahn saaaf so it's quite easy to pick these records up for buttons. the 2nd hand shops and chazzers within easy reach of the M25 are great places to pick up hardcore.
