I've not started suffering this year (yet!)

But last year I found putting a bit of vaseline just inside both nostrils (a tiny amount, I might add) it stopped anything making the hairs tickle, and stopped me sneezing :D

Try it, might work for you too

I got my shit off the docs on Monday.

I can highly recommend Levocetirizine tablets, and Nasonex nasal spray. The spray is a corticosteroid and takes a week or so to get up to maximum effect.

Pollen, you can kiss my ass. :)

The problem with all that stuff is that your body starts to rely on it instead of actually trying to deal with the problem so although you may get relief (no jokes please shoomie) the first couple of years or so, it won't work after that and your body will be in an even worse of state to deal with it than it was in the first place!!!!

same logic why getting Antibiotics from a doctor these days is like getting an apology from a politician....

as for jokes about relief :p :p I just need relief - stuff making jokes about it.... this is officially no longer funny....

But if my problem is that I'm allergic to pollen, then how is there any other way to deal with it other than to take something to supress the symptoms?

I generally don't like taking an kind of medication, and I usually use the hayfever stuff solid for about a week, then gradually cut back to as little as possible - which usually ends up being about 1 tablet every other day, sometimes skipping them on the weekends, and just using the spray once in the morning when I get up.

I'll also have a blast if I'v visiting anyone who's got a cat, coz I'm allergic to them little b@stards too!

Goddamn, I ain't the only one sniffing and rubbin' then

Like Blue Jammer mentioned in a previous post, vaseline works ok, it keeps the pollen away to enter ya nose.

another thing wich always helped me and wich is still the best thing to do: THE BEACH!

If ya have a beach near ya and ya are going nuts of all the itching and sniffing then go to the seaside and take a BIG box of tissues with ya 'cause ya nose will be running like hell with the salt breeze :D

re: tabs and other expensive medications, it works a bit but the main irritations stay, a waste of money, ya better save it for like 5 years and buy a copy of QWords instead LOL
