I'm sick to death of hearing how much quality is in the squad. Some realism is required. The likes of Butt, King, Carragher, P Neville, Vassell et al ain't fit to wear an English jersey and they'll cost you dear next week. And Calamity James is due to drop a clanger.
Admittedly you're light years ahead of us in terms of international and domestic football, buy you ain't got the quality and strength in depth to beat what the rest of Europe offers in a tournament.

the brazilians and other continents are used to it, but british based players are not. brazil didnt do much till late on in the 1st half when england started to tire.
i agree that david james is a pile of poo, king carragher neville and vasell aint
good enough either. i would say that nicky butt tho, can do the holding hole as good as most, as he's proved in the last world cup and with man u in europe. i certainly wouldnt pick him over steven gerard or even lampard given his current form, but he's a good battler, defo worth a place in the squad IMO
