Im working away a bit at the moment so Ive started downloading fillums and TV shows so I dont get completely bored out of my skull. Im using Azeurus, with Peer Guardian 2 sat in the background to keep prying eyes away:)

Ive been using the Pirate Bay, can anyone recommend any other useful sites

Also, download speeds, on a 6 Gig file Im getting average speeds of between 6-10Kbps, and it can end up taking days:S

Is this usual, or is it something to do with my setup? (directly attached by RJ45 to a netgear router with UPnP configured;)

Butty - delete this if its a bit obvious like:D

Get rid of peer guardian and use Torrent Spy (torrent site) never had any probs with that, if you are behind a router you might need to open some ports for Azureus.

I am regged with UKnova for UK telly stuff, and it's a ratio based torrent site, so you have to upload (at least) as much as you download, not a problem, but in doing so I had to open some ports on the router and forward them for the program to seed torrents properly.

Under Options>Tracker> Server, I changed the "Enable tracker on HTTP port" to 6969 and enabled the auto discover IP address (unless you have a static IP) so that if your IP changes it will auto discover it and store it.

Never had any mither from the stuff I've downloaded and the speeds have been top

Top man, cheers, will give torrentspy and uknova a go:)

Currently downloading all the seasons of the Sopranos at the moment:hubba:

I use dhcp rather than statically defining IPs and mac addresses, you can get too paranoid about these things and WPA encryption is fine considering the neighbours are pensioners, so I'll give that http tracker a go.

What rules /ports did you define on your firewall?
