im not into my hard trance, but i do like the trance mix. its such an excellent track 'bladerunner' that if you remix it you can never really steer to far from keepin the original elements that make bladerunner. you should of finalised it back then and released it in the trance years, it would of done pretty well.
A track like this never dies, id complete ur work i.e. mixdown n put it out for download, it might do pretty well m8 :) even better, include a trance mix of 'magic fly' (for those that know) :)

I agree with Biskit on this, Although I dont love Hard Trance I can appreciate how well put together it is, It sounds so very fresh & Clear, Something I totally lack in my music.

Mind you, you must have the technology for it as im totally software based. Has it already been mastered? On the subject of Mastering How does one go about Mastering their track?

I managed to get hold of this >> T-rackS 3 Mastering Tool

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XH1NbFY7PvE]YouTube - How To Do Your Own Audio Mastering - part 1[/ame]

Would it be of any help to me? My tracks never sound fresh and I try by EQ'ing the every bit of what I put into it.

Anyway sorry to Hijack the thread, Brill tune Monty, Very impressed with your production

:D

I made this using Logic Pro 7 (all software) i am on Logic Pro 9 now, there was no master what you can hear is all to do with the mix down if i remember right tho i think i ran this tune through my old TC.Eletronics Finalizer it did not really do that much so i sold it,i don't worry about mastering anymore if my tunes needs mastering to give it some kind of energy then i am doing something wrong but i sorted this out now,me personally i would not rely on a software mastering plugin to give that energy you are wanting etc a lot of it can be done in your mix down,i would rather send my music to a professional mastering engineer!...

Think of an artist painting a picture how he puts little details into his painting that makes his painting come alive its the same with mixing down music using the right tools in the right places etc if you throw a big blob of paint on to your paper you will see a blob of mess!....

If you have not yet i would get your studio setup in a professional way spend about a grand on monitors buy some reverberation if needed or make some home made cheap, learn your accoustic around your room, also have your program (Cubase) plugged in to your DJ mixer so you can compare your mix down on the fly to tunes you have on vinyl etc you should have 2 pairs of monitors near fields for detailed mix down & just your regular fun speakers (DJ area) so you can really hear all the range of frequencies especially bass & top end.

Use high quality sounds say if you are going for a eighties or even modern use samples CD that has the pure analogue drum samples straight from there drum machines then you will have that warm analogue sound!...& use Spectrasonics Trilian & Spectrasonics Omnisphere!...there all from analogue synths this is a great starting block for making that nice thick warm old sound!...YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!! :D
