Perhaps slsk ain't so gay afterall ;)

I'm after a copy of Blake Potter - Timelock (or Timelocked)... it's an absolutely gorgeous bass heavy breakz tune with whispery 'Open your mind' female vocals as featured on James Zabiela @ Technique below... the fuggin tune ain't on wax (preferred choice) / CD / CDR or even MP3... hoping it might be leaked on slsk if some kind soul (ha - see what I did there ;) ) can check / dl for me pwease :D

Also after the Sean Quinn remix of Petal n all if it's there ;)

Why oh why can't proper tunes get released on vinyl these days...

A sack full of thanks in advance :D

Can you keep links to PM's please

You know the score with mp3 files on the site for new music and all that jazz, cheers

PS there are other places to look rather than soulseek (torrents for one)

Wasn't just aimed at you btw.

I'd try contact the artist or remixer via myspace and ask them when it's out/where you can get it - works a lot of the time, esp if it aint on oggs.

Having same problem with a track on another forum, but all good tunes to those who wait :p :hubba:

That original mix upped earlier doesn't sound like a full tune, just sliced out of a mix by the sound of it. Good track though, liking it phones: Can't believe it's not available, Zabiela must have just been sent a cdr by the producer or something.

Loads of stuff like that flies around without ever getting a release, a promo or anything these days. It just gets burned to cdr and mailed direct from the producer to the big name jocks. Then the DJ re-edits it so it is heard by the punter in no form they can ever aspire to own.

It's a shame, the biggest buzz for me used to be hearing a DJ play a track in a club, finding out what it was then going on a mission to hunt down that track so you could include it in your own set, preferably before everyone else! That is nigh on impossible these days with the advent of throw-away media, CD's can be burned for naff all and for me hold naff all value, even worse an mp3 - they mean nothing to me, you don't feel like you 'own' that piece of music.

Totally agree with all that ^^^ Ableton for example is such a double-edged tool... so creative... & yet such a fucker... like you said people can basically rip the arse out of a tune & the mix you can buy will never be the one you heard out...

btw... yer right - that rip was taken from this I reck (semi-mixed which is why it cuts at the end)...

Various - Future House

@ Scot - nay worries ;) & yes that's prolly the best approach (worked before - got a copy of Ossum Boogie by Floorman that way on the proviso I didn't share it due to uncleared samples)...

Are MP3 exclusives this generations dubplates ?? Discuss lol

I Understand tht and im sure thats the view of many viynl collectors , i Buy mp3 and feel like i own tht music tho , ive bought cd singles and also feel like i own it , its all about the tune in my eyes & it doesnt matter 2 me what format i have the tune on as long as i have it , i think its the feel or look of viynl tht people like , peepz say u cant beat a tune on viynl but 2 me it sounds like they more in love with the viynl than the actual tune . ive bought viynl b4 and it didnt feel any better than when i buy mp3 & thts not because i dont love the music.... i love the music , its just i dont love the viynl but which ever format the tune comes on its the tune tht counts imo . Peepz who buy mp3 can love/feel the music just as much as viynl collectors because its all about the tuuuuuune , ill prob get alot disagreein wiv tht bt its just my opionion :)

Funny that, as the MP3's i grab to listen i always end up buying on Vinyl,,,, Its just something about owning them on Wax that makes me do a Sex Wee,,,,,

Love a Dirty Stamped White Label from 90-94, Gives me the Horn!
