chances are he has forgotten.... Paper Macher only occures with glue and dried paper... so it you keeop the little un well watered, he'll be fine

we took echo to the beach and he swallowed loads of salt water when swimming so when we got home he was really thirsty and as he's a big cerman shep he has a massive water dish and he drunk 3 full ones which is a bloody lot of water !
Anyway that evening he woke us up crying at the back door he was desperate for a piss so i got up and let him out, he'd dribbled a little bit on the kitchen floor but hardly surprising and he'd kept most of it in, when he was ion the garden he pissed for England was about a 2 - 3 minute piss and it was hard and long and he had to move twice cause his feet were getting wet in this puddle he created it was so funny ! lolol

your dog should be fine ours eat toilet rolls too not to mention, beds, headboards, skirting boards, door frames, cuddly toys, bricks and various other things, its never done them any harm! well not yet anyhow!:| not too sure about giving it lots of water though, if its super absorbent the dog may swell up and look like a barrel on four legs!! with any luck its next poo will come out all wrapped up in bog roll making it easy to dispose of and will wipe its ass for it on the way out!
Sum of yerse might remember when I had my pooch an he was tryin to litteraly eat me outta house n home, he chewed clothes (only designer gear mind you!) , video remote, skirtin boards , totaly ate his lead, and loads more I forget now.
Had to give him away tho cos the landlord was spewin, shame that cos even tho he was a little barsteward, he had a lovely temprement.
