Kiss me brown eye
I have to wait in at home as a large delivery from Amazon is due anytime now, so im sat here bored shitless.
I've eaten dinner, so thats done and dusted, i cant go out and shop, i cant get my waterproofs on and take the bike for an airing out, and i cant be arsed with tv or DVD... So it's decision time...

I have started on the book lies Lies Lies The Psychology of Deceit by Dr Charles V Ford, and have been steadily digesting about 3 or 4 chapters every night before bed, but this morning i woke up early and started Ian Rankin's A Questin of Blood.... i hammered about 6 chapters before i got up, soooo which one gets me vote?

Of to brew a caffiene laden coffee while i cogitate.... i fookin hate waiting for deliveries!

Yeah it's a nightmare innit. I tend to just have them leave cards & then bob ower to the depot & pick the stuff up after work.... Except you can't rely on them to always leave cards can you... the dirty bastards...

Not one for Ian Rankin mesen so I can't help with your book dilemma.
If you're a real proper sad geeky fucker like me though, there's always Yahoo literati ;)

Or you could have a quick game of Spank the booty?

Aye, a lot of the the recipes on Warners TV shows are things that i normally eat anyway, the programme on root veg, onion squashes and pumpkins is what spured me to try the book for size...
I'm getting tired of baking and stuffing butternut squash, and using pumpkins for soups around halloween, so any new ideas are welcome!

LOL!
Not really a surprise, was it :)
I can't remember which one I've read, but I definitely read one of his lol.
More curiosity than owt else cos you see so many people reading them!

What did you think of the TV adaptation?
I must admit I rate Ken Stott as an actor, but just couldn't get into the Rebus thing. Scottish cop shows will always begin & end with Taggart for me :D

Reading this at the minute mesen...

Lol entertainment always wins out over education, eh?

And it ain't Taggart without Marc Mcmannus (sic?) in my book!

I think the Rankin books translate very well to TV, Ken Stott has the character off to a tee, but i did enjoy the earlier ones where they used the gadgey who played the uncle in The Mummy... I fergets his name...
But that said i think i saw in a biopic once where Rankin has stated he actually has written the last few books with Stott in mind...

This book grabs yer by the nuts in the first chapter and then it's relentless up to where i am now.. i reckon ill see this book off in a couple of days!
