Breakdance seemed like a classic at the time  (I watched it about 4 times at the cinema) but I didn't rate the second one. Even Breakdance seemed a bit crap and gay after Beat Street came along - which to me is the best ever b-boy movie and a genuine classic that got everything right  I still like the sequence to 'Tour De France', Ice T performing a different version of 'Reckless' and hearing 'Ain't Nobody', but the rest of the movie looked like a weak dance movie with no real link to the scene.

I reckon they should leave it alone now, I can't see how they can make another film out of the story:)

It wasn't really about breakdancing though, that was just a sideline to the story.

Beat Street was about the scene lock stock and barrel:cool:

I might edit the best bits out of Breakdance into a 10 minute movie to make it more watchable for me now:)

Can't believe the film that's made the biggest impression on me (Beat Street) only scored a poor 5.4 on the ratings:eek:

Wildstyle did come first and tells an almost true story of the history and gets 7.1 which is fair enough I guess coming in 2 years earlier than Beat Street, but Beat Street is far better imo

I've got quite a few myself and Beat Street is a different class to the rest. Some of them are so bad i'd pay to get out of watching them again:|
