Broken 1210

One of my decks has broke, when i turn it on its fiine, its just when i change from 33rpm to 45rpm it spins up faster and faster to about 1000rpm lol.


Im going to take it to a shop to be fixed but just wondered if anyone had had this before and knew what it was in case the shop tries to blag me.

Mine did a similar thing a few times a couple of years ago mate and then it never happened again,wierd I know.I suppose like all electronic eqiupment they just freak out some times but if there doing it on a regular basis best get someone to look at them as I dont know why they do it other than the pitch may be on it's way out.

Funnily enough one of my my mates decks keeps speeding up to a ridiculous speed by it's self so I'd be interested to know what it's all about if you find out.

I'd have thought it's either a fucked 33/45 switch or a fucked motor. hopefully the former
