grrr

This guy is really starting to annoy me. Calling me an arsehole and saying he's a lawyer and saying that he's gonna report me and get me banned.
He lives on kempton road. If you can be bothered to read what a w***er he is read on and bear in mind this is all because I didn't see that he had paid 50p extra for recorded delivery... here you go

Yes, the CD seems OK. However that should have no bearing on the amount you seem to think I should have paid you over and above the*winning total, irrespective of whether you think I got a bargain.*You don't have carte blanche to charge me what you like, and I get the impression that you think you do. Perhaps that explains your behaviour - you think I got it too cheap, so you made an extra quid on the side to boost your profits?

*

My point is this. I have overpaid, and if this were in a shop or a restaurant, I would want to get things sorted out. So, I would like the 50 pence for the postage that I paid for yet didn't receive, and if the paypal amount was discretionary, then I exercise my right not to pay that, and I'd like that refunded too.

*

In summary then you owe me a quid.*

*

You offered me a refund on the basis that I had overpaid, and then changed your mind*when you looked at your invoice rather than the amount I actually paid. You got it wrong. So I'd like my refund.

*

Got it now?*Wasn't that hard was it?

*

Like I said, ebay works on honesty, and with so little to go on, your lasting impression is not a good one. You appear to have ripped me off for postage, you've*ripped me off for paypal, and then you tried*to justify your actions by sending me your invoice, with a shirty e-mail.

*

I suppose it's the insidiousness of the whole thing that really pisses me off.* If this is your standard policy (and I get the impression that it is), then you're ripping everyone off left right and centre. Of course, it may not be, and you may have genuinely forgotten to send the CD by recorded delivery. But, the tone of your e-mail and your pathetic attempts to justify your ostensibly dishonest practices would suggest otherwise, and have touched a nerve. I gave you the opportunity to come clean, and you've blown it.

*

I want my pound back, with an apology, by return post.

*

Failing that I'll be writing to eBay and Paypal - as you probably know, it's illegal to charge for the use of Paypal (whether discretionary or not), and they won't give a shit about your feedback. Paypal makes ebay work, and they don't like people like you abusing their system and levying charges. You'll be finished. And since you're clearly so proud of your feedback, I'll happily tarnish that with a negative.

*

The title of Doctor has clearly lulled you into a false sense of security. Unfortunately for you, I work in a law firm and I'll take this all the way.

AND THEN HE SENT THIS

Let's face it mate. You were wrong. If you didn't spot that I had paid for recorded delivery then fine. Accidents happen. I would have apologised and sent the money back as a matter of course. I certainly wouldn't have waited until you asked for it.

*

Despite what you might think, it doesn't come down to the actual amount - it's the principle of the thing, and good manners.* Instead, of realising you were in the wrong, you adopted a supercilious and sanctimonious attitude and made me out to be mean. At no point did you try to be nice. So, I thought I'd return the favour. Not very nice to be on the receiving end is it? Clearly not - you certainly paid up fast. However, I*note from the paypal receipt that that you still did it begrudgingly ("to get a life"), and you couldn't just fess up, say sorry, and walk away. I also note that you left me negative feedback. I'll obviously return the favour,*and I'll also be writing to eBay and Paypal* to explain your actions and this situation. People like you piss me off, so I'll be making it my top priority to make things miserable for you, at least in terms of eBay and Paypal.

*

Perhaps you should consider how your actions come across in an essentially anonymous forum such as ebay. The slightest hint of dishonesty gets amplified, and even genuine mistakes can be misconstrued. This may be the case here. But, your response was what let you down - you went on the offensive and ridiculed me. Big mistake. You talk about being around in the hazy days or '88-'92. All well and good mate, but maybe all those pills have fucked with your head. Afterall, you can't tell right from wrong, you've got no manners, and you clearly can't admit when you're in the wrong. You sound like a right fucking arsehole to me.

*

Cheers for my quid though.

*

Take care.

*Walks away pondering....

It costs nearly 50p in paypal fees to refund 50p so whats the point.

He's just talking shite, I wouldn't worry about it....even if he does complain to ebay an paypal...ebay's policy seems to be...if it doesn't cost them money they don't give a stuff.

Sounds like a student to me anyway...most real burnage residents are more likely to be clients of law firms, not work in them. :D

What a Knobhead.

If it means you might get kicked off E-bay, sort it and ignore his arrogant drivel. He's obviously got a lot of time on his hands.

Although...I do quite like the sound of the getting on the motorway/baseball bat combo:p

i've met some real nutters on ebay, who checks how much they've sent anyway. as long as I know there address and tune they've won, I just post it.

Nath mate you shouldn't be charging paypal fees as your not allowed to.

just add it to your postage & give 50p discount for cash / cheques etc.

you'll defientely not get banned as long as you pay your monthly fees.

The lad sounds like he know's sh1t.

"paypal running ebay"....funny Ebay owns paypal....never used to when I started...probably why the fees went up

I think eBay actually do own Paypal! I know I've seen somewhere on the Paypal site ' Paypal...An eBay group company' or something to that effect.

Which is probably why ebay don't want people charging paypal fees as this would put people off paying by paypal, which in turn loses them money.

i've met some real nutters on ebay,

What I hate most are the impatient bastards who send you a snotty email going something like this ' I won this item and paid instantly on 21st June, it is now 22nd June and my item still hasn't come, I'm going to report you to eBay, Paypal, the police, the NSPCC etc, etc....'

Personally, If things are getting sent from the UK then I will email (nicely) after about 7 or 8 days to see if it has been sent or if from abroard I'll leave it at least 2 weeks before asking. I realise some people have got a life outside of eBay an may be busy. So long as it comes in one piece and hasn't took a piss taking amount of time (ie. 2-3weeks+ for UK, over a month for abroad) then whats the problem.
