First of all can i point out that this is not an advertisement, spam, or a way to generate funds for myself or the Burningman event.
I'm new to this site and it seems that there are quite a few on here that are very passionate about old house music so i thought i'd shout this out...
I intended to host my own theme camp at B'man last year but, I ran out of time. This year i may not attend but intend to do the theme camp next year.
The camp will host 6 x 8-10 hour parties mon - sat inclusive. The theme is house music from mainly 88 + 89, all genres from this period will be covered, there will be some stuff from 85 - 87 though not much, just the cream, progressive house 91 - 93 will also be in there, again not much - just the really clever stuff. So basically the acid house era including fat fucking belgian new beat.(BTW no hardcore/ D&B and no cheesy pianos)
In addition to the music i am also putting on a bar serving Marguerittas which are given freely (in case you don't know B'man is a commerce free event or a 'gift economy').
SPL wise i'll be pumping out enough volume to get 100+ people jumping, the intention is to put on a banging intimate party that is about the music.
Anyone wanna help ??????????????????
It would be nice to get a few of us together that are as passionate about this music as i am and would like to simply help me do this, if anything i'm seeking clued up types that can sort shit out in a crises situation, i can handle the audio system myself, fix generators etc but - shit happens out there! To understand what i mean check out Burningman.com.
I have spent about 2 - 3 hours a night working on this (mostly crafting mixes) for just over a year, I reckon it'll cost me 10 grand (i will work and save to get this money - i dont have it in the bank !!). I design loudspeakers for a hobby and will design something suitable for the desert environment - I have enough 18'' drivers that i will ship to America, my friend will build the amps. I have a workshop in Santa Cruz that i can use prior to the event, I can arrange accomodation in S.Cruz and san Francisco that is free, .....despite all this i still cant fucking spell !!!!!!
So if you wanna help let me know and i'll give you all the details on the plan. For those who might be interested in creating this you ought to know that from take off at heathrow airport you are not likely to get much sleep for 5 - 7 days (you'll be fine), after the work has been done the drive is a bastard and you prob won't sleep for another 2 days - the travelling days are the hardest - lots of shopping to be done, and believe me you don't wanna forget that 200 litres of tequila, first aid kit or gaffa tape - you'll be fucked !!!!........Hey fucking ho !! - by that time we'll be there and they'll be plenty of time to sleep............seriously.
Please dont reply to me unless you have been to B'man before or have at least read what is said on the website, sorry if that sounds snobby, its not, I dont care if you're pink, white, grey or brown, 26 or 50 - your spirit and will is what matters.

BTW - you can do B'man for about £1300 - lock stock, the lot, i done the first on £1200, second on £2500 but stayed in SF and spunked a lot in restaurants.
