Gewd, how horrible is text speako.

Ahhh, its with great sadness i hear that Top of the Pops is finishing. I have watched this for ages, i only stopped when they moved the times around. Admitedly it went wank the last few years, but thats only becuase pop is shit these days.

And just how saucy were Pans People? Lol summat for the dads i think.

hehe yea... Pans People... remind me of watching Hot Gossip on Kenny Everett as a kiddo...

All time TOTP moment has to be the "live" Dexys - Jackie Wilson Said performance... I still piss mesen just thinking about it...

I liked Beck with 'loser' cos he had all those old peeps breakdancing.

The worst was Ocenaic, they had this lady dancing in nothing much more than psychedelic body paint, she had nips like footy studs. The singer looked like a right scag rat- and her voice was tre horrible live.

:naughty: Yeah I can undrestand people getting sentimental but remember when top of the pops banned Acid House Tunes that used the word "Acid" and they've not exactly supported Dance music recently, so they've not exactly done us many favours.Anyone who was visiting this country would think we're all into boybands,Busted and Beyonce if they saw TOTP.Dance music get's it's revenge!:moonie:

I haven't watched it for years, but it's still a shame that there will be no more TOTP:(

It was one of those shows that I rarely missed as a teenager, just because it was one of the few music shows on tv and could always draw the biggest acts from the States.

There's dozens of specialist and mainstream music channels now though, so it probably doesn't hold the same appeal to teenagers these days:)
