I never knew about this universally accepted truth (to males that is) that chicks can't thow. The first i ever heard of it was a few years back when skimming stones with Jonno. He claimed i would never do it as good as he as 'Girls can't throw'. Huh? I didn't buy it at the time, but over the years every time i have asked a bloke- they have laughed and stated very eagerly that is true, we are crap at lobbing (some even give a pathetic little demo at how gay girls throw).

What does everyone else think?

Largely true I'm afraid.

I think it's because girls don't seem to throw things as much as boys when little. . . nature of games etc.

Therefore the ability to throw well is better for most boys and some girls because of their practised muscle memory.

To highlight this, ask a right handed lad who can throw to throw left handed and it will look like a "Girls throw"!

Don't know if anyone saw Posh trying to pitch a baseball when they visited a baseball stadium. . . well funny! It's kind of a push, rather than a throw??

It's all practise boy or girls. . . boys just like to throw things???

Lol, i am amazed how boys just know which of their friends have a girls thow- like its something a little dodgy:confused:

I am starting to think perhaps we can't do it you know, even some chicks i have asked have agreed. Lol at Posh, that was bad- mind you i was still cringing over her high heeled 'sneakers'.

I think girls that practise can throw, it's just they largely don't bother when young. Netball encourages that silly push throw and even rounders you see the longer throws been done under arm? Don't know if breasts, make it harder to put your back into it and throw your arm back?

Still look at womens cricket and you will see women who can throw.

And as for those High Heeled Sneekers. . . .I'm glad they have left the country!

I thought it was a universally accepted truth that girls can't throw? Even the girls who were good at sport couldn't throw at my school

I know but are they as good as the men? Maybe I mean that they can't throw as well as men can. I've got some mad image of the Trunchbull from Matilda now, throwing that little girl across the playground like in Shot put.

Girls can't do that extra flick with their wrist as the arm reaches it's zenith (nice word!) of movement. The flick is all important as well for getting extra purchase on the throw (for both strength and accuracy).

I personally think it's an evolutionary thing too - girls just simply didn't need to do it. To blokes on the other hand it will have been hugely important for hunting etc.

I once met a woman who could throw her voice.

I know a few that have thrown a sickie.

I know a lady or two that threw in the towel and I know one that threw in her lot!

Ive not thrown anything for years (well apart from things at exes  ), but I used to be the bowler in our school rounders team and cricket team and I was ace :D  Im going to have to have a go at throwing at the next available opportunity to see if I still have it!

On the other hand Pauly is the best thrower I have ever seen! The first time he said 'watch this' and threw something really far, I was really impressed and it turned me on lol!! :eyebrow: :condom: :bj:

Girl's generally rocked at French Elastic

I was one of the only boys that used to play this with the girls at primary school, does that make me a gayer?
