I'm trying to track down a series of mixes from an event in 1993,i think.? It was either Obsession or Obsessed. if i recall the event was called one thing and the tapes another. i know that the two mixes im looking for were packaged in black cassette sleeve with golden embosed lettering. the first is Dj Easygroove (techno dread) (raging crack head more like) but personal differences aside now. this mix started off with this huge tune which was almost like a battle march. there were several MC's on the the tape MC MC Man Paris and at one point dennis himself half way through the second side MC MC Introduces Mickey Finn and i think he and Dennis play back to back until the tape ends...
the second tape im trying to find will be more memorable because Carl Cox was about 6 hours late arriveing so when the mc sees him he shouts "He's F**kin Got Here" and as Carl is about to hit the start button to begin his set, the mc introduces him and says something like "our next dj got lost, so he went to gatwick and he got a helicopter, so if you see any wreckage outside, that's where we've got the crash landing, kicking it for you Carl Cox on the ones and two's
i recall a topbuzz tape from the same event that had a red sleeve with gold lettering but worried about find that too much... please can someone confirm what event it was? i'll be forever in your debt if anyone can point me in the right direction of the actual sets themselves..... thanks people even if u cant help and have read this far...
