Right this is really pissing me off..........

I have an external AOpen CD burner and use Audio Cleaning Lab to capture sound and then burn onto CD. This has all worked fine for 6 months and now all of a sudden the software keeps crashing out near the end of the CD. Error message usually read something like....

"computer overloaded by real time effects"

So I get Audio Cleaning Lab to "Apply real time effects" basically calculating them beforehand so that CPU load is reduced during burning. Still crashed out!!!

tried reducing burn speed to reduce CPU load, got a bit further into CD but still crashed on next to last track. By the way CD is only 63mins long.

Also tried closing other applications running in background. no other progs running either. this still crashed! At present I have 4 CD coasters of no use!! I may shortly be tempted to burn at 1:1 speed as this would seem my only option to get the bloody thing to work?

Does anyone have any idea about why this is happening? Maybe the hard disk de-fraging may help? I don;t really know compuetr stuff that well...................HELP!!

Could try defragging as if it's reading from ya hard drive it may slow down causing errors, best to burn audio cd's at no more than 4x, otherwise you can get time code errors.

You tried using Nero to burn ya CD's ? That's a top program and never had it fail on me.
