I watched this program. It was a sad state of affairs, and I can somewhat agree with what the father of the lad who dies was on about, that perhaps if he had not spent so much time chatting to others who were obviously suicidal themselves it may have ended up diferently. On a seperate note entirely, with no disrespect to those who took thier own lives or familes of the deceased, I had another topic on my mind as I watched the program..........this was the TV and 'Media' in general. Now, by this I dont mean whether the program should have been broadcast or not, but what I mean is this is a program in a LONG list of programs that put across that the freedom we currently enjoy on the internet is EVIL and should either be stopped or fully regulated. Now this trend scares me probably just as much as the program last night. I believe in freedom, yet everyday our internet freedom is being legislated and campaigned against by those high up. I could be a cynic, and say long term its becuase of sour grapes on the media engines behalf, becuase when it gets to the stage where poeple are no longer buying Newspapers and switching on TV sets but looking on the internet instead, they are up shit creek without a paddle, so my conspiracy theory is that either they want systems in place so they can control what we see and hear (like they do now) or to scare folk shitless and portray it as an evil 'rampant unchecked' evil that has to be stopped. People say 'yeah well it cant be stopped"......oh but it can. Anyway. I dont think they did any favours braodcasting the program becuse Im sure it would ensure curiosity to those who are already depressed, and had never realised such places were available. See ya Sirius.
