cheap print cartridges?

my print cartridges keep running out ever so quickly, last one only lasted about 3 or 4 weeks and i dont print that much stuff really

anyhows thinking i might as well buy a new printer that takes cheap cartridges, so anyone got any suggestions???

Yep, lexmark are shite, I had one after it was recommended to me by someone high up in IT :| The git.

Epson are good printers for sure, if you aren't fussed about colour though, I'd go for a laser jet printer, can get them as cheap as £185 nowadays, and they are much better for letters and suchlike (if it's for ya business you can get the letterheads done in colour, and just use b/w laser jet) - would be much more professional

Syl as you have now found out to your cost buying lexmark printers are a waste of time. I suspect you got yours free with your pc at PC World from memory so you prolly wouldnt have realised.

Its like the gillette principle lol. It would be cheaper to buy a new printer than change the carts just like it can be with razors lol

Go with epson hun. I have one at home and use quite a few here. Carts are next to nowt.

lexmark are good printers just expensive for cartridges cos most of em u cant refil

if its only black & white your arsed about printing you can get a mono laser printer for 50 quid, tip top quality

I use an Epson C84 at work, cartridges from Bowlers on a Saturday comp fair are £12 for a full set of colour (4 cartridges in all including black). The printer is only £75, quite a decent printer too.
