Watched this last night and it was easily the best film i have seen all year. Fantastic cast, ace dialouge and excellent acting from all involved. I bloody loved this film :thumbsup:

Have to say that i thought it was pretty poor, mediocre dialogue, not my cup of tea at all.

Lol i thought the dialogue was true to its roots. I thought that it reflected the life of very poor and angry individulas living in slum's. There were no great one liners admittedly- but i didn't think it needed any.

Have to agree, excellent film. The documentary thingy that comes with it on the DVD makes for pretty depressing viewing though :(

i didn't think too much of this either. think i need to give it a second viewing though...got lost at one point with who was who etc..too much time reading the subtitles. bloody long as well i remember.. :roll:

haven't seen a good film for ages. watched dodgeball at the weekend...was expecting a few laughs but i can't believe how bad it was...smirked once i think..

still got my sassy girlfriend to watch..hoping that's a goodun.

Think it was out end of last year, saw it in the cinema and liked it a lot, then got it a few months back on DVD, fantastic watching it a 2nd time.

And yes, the docu on the DVD is heavy going, but a very necessary watch I thought.

There's also the soundtrack which has been remixed, I'll link to the filenames when I get in tonight if anyone fancies them - top notch remixes :thumbsup:

Thought it was a great film watched it twice there was just one part i did'nt like when they got the young boy to shoot one of his friends:( .But just to think people actually live in that situation on a daily bases is horrible.

Got it on dvd brilliant film. If u loved that im trying to think of this other film filmed in mexico but i cant remember the bloody name as its a mexican name. Anyway its about 2 storys colliding into one a guy who fights his dog against other dogs and a high paid model, but when the guys getting chased by some gangsters whos just faught his dog with he crashes his car into the models and she ends up losing both her legs, its subtitled and i thought it had the edge on city of god :thumbsup:

That'll be Amores Perros. Brilliant film, but a bit difficult to get into if you don't like stories flicking backwards and forwards through the plot (or in my case having to explain what is happening all the time to your co-watchers because they have the attention span of a honey-bee).
